First we learned the names of shapes: circle- porohita, triangle- tapa toru, square- tapawha rite and rectangle- tapa wha. We looked at the sides each shape had.
Then we sorted the shapes into groups.
Now we played a feely bag game. We put our hand in a bag and had to feel the shape that was inside the bag and name the shape.
Then we used shapes to make people, house, cake, sandwiches, table, etc.
It was fun with shapes.
We go swimming on Tuesday and Thursday with room 4.
We wear our togs and take our towel and walk to the swimming pool.
Some of the children were holding on to the bar and some were using noodles to float.
Some of the children are getting confident. Well done room 3.
After the weekend we saw the empty chrysalis. We looked around to find the butterfly. It was on the top window sill!!
Then gently Adrian got it and put it in a transparent bag so we could have a closer look.
We used magnifying glasses to see the monarch butterfly. The wings were black and orange.
The we took the butterfly to the garden and it flew away.
