HAPPY NEW YEAR AND WELCOME TO ROOM 3
Dear Parents and Caregivers
My name is Mrs G. Mendonca and I am the class teacher in Room 3. I am very excited to teach and learn along with your children this year.
In the holidays I visited Coromandel with my family and it is a very beautiful place with scenic beauty, hot water beach and bush walks. I have also been busy in my garden growing vegetables.
In term 1 our Inquiry is Identity. Please talk to your children about your home language, culture and traditions that you follow at home.
In Room 3 for homework children have a book bag that will include a daily reading book, list of words to learn and a reading log. Please sign the reading log after your child reads the book and help your child practice phonic sounds for letters of the alphabet, read and write the words for practice.
In Maths encourage your child to count on, read and write numbers.
